2018 Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition to open in Shanghai

The seventh Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE 2018) is to be held at the business aviation base of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on April 17.


The exhibition has attracted the attendance of more than 170 companies, and the event is slated to display 30 planes, covering all pedigrees of business aircraft, from piston-engine aircrafts to intercontinental business airplanes, and even six helicopters.


The second phase of the business aviation base in Hongqiao Airport was newly added to the display area of the exhibition this year, creating a new high.


Jointly sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Shanghai Airport ity (SAA) and Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), the ABACE is devoted to showing the latest business aviation products and services from all over the world.


ABACE has developed as an endsville aviation feast in China and the Asian region, popularized by the global exhibitors of all types, the general aviation industry and the aviation enthusiasts.


“Business aviation industry is becoming mature in the Asian region, and ABACE will play a key role in the continuous development of the industry. We feel greatly honored that this event, attracting over 170 exhibitors and several thousand attendees from the Asian region, is going to be yet another success of the business aviation industry within this region,” said Ed Bolen, CEO of NBAA.

NBAA:

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is a non-profit and nonpartisan corporation and advocacy group based in Washington, DC, the United States. The association represents more than 11,000 companies. Founded in 1947, the NBAA is an industry organization representing companies that rely on general aviation aircraft. The association provides more than 100 products and services to the business aviation community. NBAA aims to create an environment that fosters business aviation in the United States and around the world.


AsBAA:

Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is a non-profit corporation based in Hong Kong. AsBAA aims to promote the overall development of business aviation in Asian regions. It co-hosts the annual Asian based ABACE show together with NBAA in the month of April at the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, China. AsBAA also hosts an annual awards and charity gala event in association with Orbis Charity, mostly held every November.


SAA:

Shanghai Airport ity (SAA) was established in 1998. It is a state-owned enterprise directly under the leadership of Shanghai Municipal Government, and operates both Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). SAA aims to make Shanghai airports the most attractive core air hub in the Asia-Pacific region. At present, Shanghai has four airport terminals, six airstrips and five cargo areas. The annual passenger and cargo volume of Shanghai airports respectively reached 112 million and 4.23 million tons in 2017, ranking third and fourth among the global cities. Currently, 110 airlines launch regular flights to Shanghai, connecting 47 countries and 297 navigation points.
